Photos by my sis and me

Some of you who follow me on Facebook might have already seen my Tåka·Mau earpiece, which I got for my birthday. I'm not much of an accessories girl, it's rare to see me wearing rings, earrings, necklaces, etc, because it always feels too much! Exceptions made, this earpiece can be discrete or the high point of an outfit, it all depends on how you stylish your hair and clothes.
Since I've had this blog I feel the urge to divulge portuguese brands; we have so many talented and sometimes underrated designers and artists, it's a shame not to post about them. Moreover the brand is fresh, clean, contemporary and above all: innovative. Each piece can be adapted to the user, therefore each piece is personal and right off the runway.

Photos by my sis

Finally enjoying my moment of pure darkness: black hair, pale skin, red lips. As I said previously, black hair (or almost) had been on my wish list since last summer and now it's done. Although I didn't bleach it - because I want to maintain my natural color - , I bought some dark brown, almost black ink to give it a first try and the best thing about it is you return to your original color after washing it circa 8 times. Perfect if you're afraid it won't suit you.

Tatiana Lёshkina is one of those photographers you find and never forget; I've known her work for more than a year now and it still feels fresh to me. Everything in her photographs seems so light and effortless, even though most of them defy gravity, placing bodies and objects in harmony as if they were born to be together. Sometimes the line between forced and natural is so thin, you are afraid that the next time she'll cross it, like many other photographers do. Not Tatiana, she is in full control of her aesthetics, standing out for not being afraid of taking risks
Pure, clean, balanced, structured and subtle; maybe that's the reason why it can get quite paradoxical with fragile positions sculpting a solid image. But at the end of the day, isn't that the feeling you want to get? Contrasting elements that disturb your ideal of beauty, becoming simultaneously fragile and powerful.

Photos by Rita Fernandes

T-Shirt - Primark // Pullover - Carolina Herrera (for only 5€, lucky me) // Trousers - H&M // Sneakers - Nike Free Run 5.0

Starting this post must have been one of the hardest things for me lately, meaning this especial hobby will suffer some changes. As you might remember I had (past tense) a boyfriend who was my photographer as well as my biggest motivation to keep updating. Now that it has ended, I'm trying to get my life back on track, staying as positive as I can (believe me, it's a struggle) and starting a fresh new chapter! You'll no longer see his photos, but the quality won't be compromised , as you can see. Rita was the first one to offer to help me and I'm so thankful for her patience, working with a perfectionist is a hard challenge. As for the blue-toned photos matching my pullover, they also accentuate this change of aesthetics, I'll now take more risks, wrap my pullover sideways, stand out for who I am and accept my flaws.
Nonetheless my hair will also suffer an intervention, one I've been daring myself to make over the past year and a half, but never had the courage to. More on that later. And more on the new header I'm currently working on, too.
Although I know this might be a bit of a shock for you as it is for me, I hope you love the photos as much as I do and accept this change.

Photos from here.

Spending so much time navigating through Tumblr has its positive side to it. I had reblogged the second image while thinking how incredible it would be if I could find the source (unfortunately it gets lost or deleted quite often). A week, or so, later someone sent me a link to a website, martinniklaswieser.com, and to my surprise, there it was. Martin Niklas Wieser in full glory, forcing me to "envy" him and his abnormal talent. This kind of cohesive and fresh collections should be promoted by the press, instead of wasting so much time with brands that are already known for years. Saturated fashion makes me look for new and promising designers whose support might not be the greatest. We shall take our time to admire Martin's phenomenal work and attention to details, as well as the exquisite photos (such awkward and beautiful poses, don't you think?).

All photos here.

Designer // Elionai Campos
Model // Inês Junqueira
Photographer // Nuno Vieira
Photography Assistant // André Coelho
Production Assistant // Filipa Fonseca
Hair and Makeup // Ânia Domingues and Daniela Nunes

T-Zion is the name of Elionai Campos' SS '13 collection and you might remember it from this post or maybe just because of my hysteria concerning it. The truth is, as soon as I saw the looks walking down the runway I knew I had to get my hands on them. So, Nuno and I decided it would be a great opportunity for both, and especially for him, to photograph the lookbook and the campaign for his final school project. And the answer, as you can see, was "yes!".  Needless to say it is always a pleasure to work with nice and talented people like Elionai. You'll be hearing a lot from her, that's for sure!
Let's not forget about the photographer, right? And what a hell of a good one with a promising future ahead of him, since he keeps evolving and working hard to achieve his goals. As you can see, I have to work really hard if I want to be as talented as they are at such a young age! Keeping my fingers crossed. Maybe not, shall use them to sketch!

Crop Top - Sparkle & Fade (Urban Outfitters) from Re Invention // Skirt - Zara // Sandals - Zara

I'm finally enjoying my holidays! High school is over and I've recently received a diploma for my maximum score at my final work (a sculpture made of wool, which I will show you later). Meanwhile I've been hanging out in some fresh and functional outfits with some pieces that speak for themselves. Speaking of which, this crop top is, without any doubt, my favorite piece in my wardrobe at the moment, since it immediately elevates the elegance and sophistication of an outfit. Reminds me a bit of Balenciaga's F/W 13 rtw cracked effects. Thanks to Re Invention, I bought it for less than half of its original price. Oh how I love bargains!

Me
